ADVANCED

Join Nick and a small group of accomplished photographers for an intensive weekend of advanced tuition and discussion of all aspects of digital image making. Together, we’ll explore how your photography can be taken to the next level. This weekend is for you – you will set the agenda to learn exactly what it is that you need to fully ignite your passion for your craft.

What you’ll need

Program

Day 1: SHOOTING THE IMAGE

All-day session

As advanced photographers, it’s assumed that you have a thorough knowledge of photographic theory, so we’ll head straight out for an all-day shoot. This will include a range of assigned subjects for review and critique on Day 2. The emphasis will be on the creative process: coming up with ideas, seeing images, telling the story, and so on. Any of the theory topics covered in the Intermediate workshop can also be discussed as we go; bring your questions with you!

Day 2: PROCESSING THE IMAGE

 All-day session

As with Day 1, it’s assumed that you are already using Photoshop, Lightroom or Aperture for advanced editing and image manipulation. Nick will give practical instruction on aspects of his own work, such as making panoramas, non-destructive editing techniques, and more – plus he’ll cover whatever topics of digital post-processing that you’d like to learn about.

You'll leave at the end of the day with an A3-sized professional quality print of your favourite image from the weekend.

Nick will contact each of you prior to the weekend to discuss your specific needs and requests – so if you sign up for this workshop, think about what you want to get out of it.

SPEND THE WEEKEND WITH NICK – AND WIN!

If you’re the photographer of the best image of the weekend, you’ll receive professional framing of an A3 print of your winning image – a retail value of $750 – but the judging process will be by peer review. You, and Nick, will all score each other’s images (except your own!) to decide who wins.

All workshops will be staged in small groups for the maximum impact of Nick’s tuition, so PLACES ARE LIMITED. Details of dates and prices can be found on the Registration Form. BOOK NOW!
